![]() If the banana plant is potted, and if the soil level is elevated - no problem of water seepage - keep digging a hole to keep pace with growth.

![]() I think you can just cut the leaf down in size. I recall someone else growing in a green house who said they have been cutting off all the new leafs and keeping to old ones because it was way to tall now.

![]() Its late in the season to cut the plant back as it probably wont grow much more now...Having the leafs touch the top and fold back as they do doesnt hurt the banana and although it spoils the look,it still lets the banana have a big leaf area for photosynthesis. Seeing a few more of your pictures,I think that you have it ground planted but if not, what Dan said is a good solution too.
Cutting the leafs back to fit doesnt help the plant anywhere. Its just causing more damage than the bending of the leafs its getting from the top...

![]() I'm about to build a new hot house for winter. It's going to be about 12 feet high. Since they won't be in there for very long I'm not too concerned with them growing.
But if I were you I'd possibly make the hot house a bit taller! |
