Maoli Manai Ula Banana
New acquisition from a local friend. Gets 12-14 ft tall, and when it fruits,
the immature bananas are red, and gradually turn green then yellow. The plant has some red in it, but mine is currently too young to show it except for red leaf margin, and midrib. So far, that makes 4 Hawaiian types I have currently, if I find the space, I'll try for two more and that will be about all I can handle. I wish I had a larger area like some of you folks. Boy that thing just sounds so interesting to me! I love the fact the fruit has 3 different colors ha h aha stuff like that is neat to have so when you have people over you can BLAST them away with you odd plants.. Best of luck with it I'm sure we will see pics of a bloom here in a year or so
