Mark,

Lucky you, never seen one for sale in the uk myself that said i havent really looked that hard. Out of curiosity where did you get it ?

Mark Hall has managed to maintain the AEAE in the UK
so he is a good person to ask about it here or at HTUK

The Florida Variegated Banana is not Ae'-Ae banana. Ae'-Ae produces seedless fruits while Florida's is reportedly seeded. Florida may be variegated form of M. Balbisiana. I've only recently acquired pups of both, and hope that in the next couple of years, I will be able to confirm this. They both will need to stay in a properly heated greenhouse this winter in Seattle, WA.
