Default Musa Tindok from the Philippines

I found these pictures of a not so common banana in the Philippines called Musa Tindok - long and fat! Fruit is used similar to M. Saba and M. Tippig.

Tale of the Tape- 12.5-inches (31.75 Cm) in length and almost 3-inches (7.5Cm) fat!! Without the tape measure, it's be pretty hard to describe the size.

This is another one to hunt for in the Philippines. (Get that, Scot?)

Gabe, do you have any information on this banana?
Thanks.

Same as the Malaysian/Indonesian ʻPisang Tandukʻ, tanduk means horn, and is a type of Horn Plantain, similar to ʻAfrican Rhino Hornʻ which is the only common Horn Plantain in the US.

There is something similar being offered on eBay from Thailand, I emailed the seller and asked him if it was the same as our African Rhino Horn and he said that he looked and ours and said they appear to have no differences. So my guess is Rhino Horn, too.
Yes, I got the message Chong, I am still hoping to get to the Phils someday soon. So darned expensive these days with fuel prices, but I think it will come down as the economy worsens. They will need more flyers to pay the the debt service on those planes.
