Default My Manzano has a flower!

This is my first banana to flower. It was planted 26 months ago, but a dog did significant damage 24 months ago.

Just about 8 months to the day...the fruit is finally ready. And it was delicious, probably the best banana I ever ate. I was worried because of the long winter and the fact that the pseudostem lost all its leaves, but it turned out fine.

Looking at all of those photos, it is very clear that the plant is not 'Manzano', it is 'Namwah'. Still a great banana. Congrats.

That would explain why it tastes different than the manzanos I've had from the store. This one is much creamier and more sweet. Kinda weird to have had this banana for 3 years and just find out it isn't what I thought it was.

Thanks Gabe!
