New banana babies
Just got a Siam Ruby and a Thai black in the mail.
They are joining the rest of my growing collection: Have a thread here for the unknowns: Two unknowns Cant wait to get everything in my backyard. I just need to figure out how to keep my dog from eating everything. He has developed a taste for bananas and bamboo at my parent's house. Tristan |

Re: New banana babies
I'm glad you posted this, because some people believe that Siam Ruby is not the real deal when they first get it just because the midrib is green, but I've told several people to wait and see how it darkens up as it gets bigger.
Great job, and they look like they're in top form!

Re: New banana babies
Hey, Tristan...I've never noticed you on here before. I'm right down the road from you in Pearland. How long have you been growing bananas?

Re: New banana babies
I'm new to bananas. I just pulled divisions from my parent's plants and ordered a few others. My parents have always had some in their yard, but only a few varieties. I've been in my new house for less than a year, so I'm now planning on how I will landscape the back yard. It's essentially a blank slate.
