Default North Carolina growers

Would like to hear from those living in the eastern coast of N.C. that are growing bananas. I am interested to know how they make them come to fruit (*outside, not in greenhouse, as I do not have a greenhouse.)

I have been growing mine here for two years this summer. I have not had a flag leaf yet, but I am very hopefull this summer.
