Default Open Call for Photos

OK, folks! I'm looking for photos of your gardens, showing your bananas in their full splendour - they'll go into the magazine on the last page, sort of a "last look" kind of thing. I'll take the first four photos submitted, and hold the rest in reserve for future issues of the magazine.

Thanks a zillion!

Beth

Lorax,
As I said earlier in the previous post, you are more than welcome to any of my pics in my photobucket account...

Here is one of my personal favorites from last summer.

BTW, ever thought about some later issues with before and afters? Like spring and then same shot taken last summer?

What a great idea, Randy! Living where I do, I often forget that you all have winter and that nastiness. And BTW - love the purple manioc.

Good looking pup Mitchel, mine love their kiddy pools too. Had to get them each one the puppy lays in it in the heat and never wants to get out.

The picture with my dog is from 2 summers ago before things went Jurassic on me! My yard looks a bit overgrown and messy at the moment. I have Heliconias that are 10 feet tall and gingers that are just out of control! Everything is getting crowded and fighting for sunlight. I'll have my work cut out for me this spring.

Thanks Jack and Bob. Here is our other dog. She likes a kiddie pool also but only in the heat of summer after the working sheep. I have to coax her into the pool here at the house no matter how hot it is.

Yeah, the change in the weather sure makes a place look different!!! You ought to see how it starts out each spring!!! BTW, the purple plant is actually a purple variety of the good ole' castor bean...

Lorax, here is what the same bed looked like in April of the same year when everything was just fixing to break dormancy and before the annuals were added (of course this is the same bed, just different angle):

Patty-
Thanks for the kind words. The far background is made up of azaleas, dogwoods, tulip poplars and grasses. The mid ground has palms (T. fortunei), bananas (sikkim, Siam Ruby and lasiocarpus), ee's, amorphophallus konjac, ruellia, lantanas ,iris, dianthus, cannas, caladiums, scotch broom all around my pond. Unfortunately no citrus here in z7.
