Ordering Bananas ?????????

Im looking for a Musa balbisiana 'Black Thai' banana plant.
Has anyone herd of rare bananas .com ? They seem to have nice bananas on there site I would order one from them the shipping seems fair too.

There is one on ebay I checked them out on davesgarden.com there raiting did not look very good. Its hirstgardens.com anyone ever get plants from them ?
Anyone have any company they would recomend ?

I didn't have any luck with orders from aloha tropicals.. and that's the only place I won't order from.

I had good luck with Stokes Tropicals and Logee's and bad luck with Greenearth, Inc. The best ones that I have received are from members here like Jon, Jimmmy, James, and Sandy. You might want to try a "Wanted" ad first in the Classified section to see if any members here have a pup that they can sell you.

If you don't mind me asking Abnshrek what happened.I have had bananas from aloha tropicals in mint condition well just the corms anyway,and that's to the UK as well.

I ordered 4 plants from Jimmmy (Plantucopia) through the classifieds here. I received 5 plants and they have all done wonderfully. I would not hesitate to buy from them again.

Pretty sure Rare Bananas is run by Jarred, our Admin (MediaHound). So yes, this would be a reputable source.

I guess with aloha trops.. it depends on what you order. All I know is I got 2 small pitogo's and one straight withered away and other did as well a week later. they didn't have leave nor get them.. I was like wtf? lol pardon the english

I was real happy with the plant Jimmy sent me. I did plant it even tho the postal service cut its head off ! It looks like it will grow back.I belleve it will. Jimmy felt so bad he is sending me another. I didnot want him to but he insisted. What a great man to deal with ! He cares.
