I'm looking for publications in reference to the origin of the Family Musacae. I'm looking for publications with this topics: * Origin of Musa * Connections between Strelitzia, Heliconia, Musa, ... * When, which spezia evolved? * ornamental bananas and heliconias? ![]() Gabe might be a good one to comment on this in detail. I can tell you that bananas and plantains originated in SE Asia. As for which of the genus' you mentioned may have evolved first, I can't help you there.
