PR Maricongo Plantain Flowering?
Seems that my PR Maricongo Plantain will flower/bloom soon!...hopefully is the "real" thing...can't wait to see the plantain bunch to do a comparison....
PR Maricongo flowering soon....showing in the photo the flag leaf..... Updated photos of My PR Dwarf Super Plantain opening of the flower making the plantain bunch..... Also, it is not bananas but I think is worth the photos/pictures.....my 25 ft. of passion fruit vine blooming!.....and still growing!.....

Re: PR Maricongo Plantain Flowering?
Following the thread, and searching (comparing) for archives, photos/pictures, threads in the forum there is no way possible this is a PR Maricongo Plantain.....PR Maricongo Plantain normal height 10 to 12 feet, mystery nanner, tops 7 feet...looking at the flowering fingers, they look more as a banana fingers than plantain fingers...very disappointed....looks more as a Dwarf Cavendish to me......What do you guys think what it is?.....
I will wait until finish blooming and/or ripening of the fruit to take them out (clear the mat completely)!.....beautiful French Red Plantain to the rescue!..... In a more positive note....I got my PR Dwarf Super Plantain with 8 hands already and still opening!....
