![]() Strange thing here. I bought this plant a couple years ago already potted and fully grown. There's been no change in location, care, or anything but the past couple months the new leaves are getting a lot smaller. It's still growing quite quickly, putting out new leaves they're just a lot smaller than I'm used to.
One of the pups it put out around the same time I noticed this change had red patterns on the leaves, which I had never seen before on any pups or on the main plant. I dug this pup out a while back to pot it separately, and the new leaves of the main plant are still coming out small. Any ideas what may be causing this? |

![]() Has the lighting changed? Have you been fertilizing it? Pictures would help.

![]() That looks more like a Super Dwarf Cavendish
Do you fertilize? Assuming it's getting adequate sun in that window then personally I would put it in a bigger container. Also Cavendish bananas have the wine stain markings on the leaves when young so that's normal.

![]() I just fertilized a couple days ago assuming that may be the issue. Not sure what's the best method / frequency / type of fertilizer to use. I'm not sure of the exact species as I just bought it from someone off Craigslist.
