Default Preventing sun burns

Hello all,
Great forum. I just started my first bananas. (two ice creams).
I am having problems keeping them from getting sun burned (or at least I assume thats my problem). Any tips? as the plants mature will they be less vulnerable?

One favorite trick I used to do is first to place the potted young banana plants under the canopies of my tomatoes or okras or whatever vegetables are taller than them and make sure they are shaded by these vegetables. As the season progresses, bananas will grow taller than these vegetables and by the time the bananas have leaves going above the vegetable canopies, they are all well adjusted to full sunlight and then I move them anywhere in the sunlit patio or anyplace full of sunshine in my yard.

I have a new mat of of Ice Creams out in full South Florida sun - once they get going, nothing to worry about them in full sunlight.

Hang in there
