Default Quail Botanical Garden San Diego

My family stopped in San Diego for a few nights enroute to LA. Today I went to Quail Botanical Gardens and was amazed at the height of the banana plants. They have several varieties planted with a lot fruiting. Sadly a lot of their

Cannas had the virus. Overall it was still a very nice visit. My wife was at Legoland with my son and had the digital camera. I do have a bunch of shots with my digital phone.

I'm so jealous of people living in San Diego. Beautiful city.

What "virus"?

I love Quail botanical garden as well. My favorite section is the bamboo groves.

I know what you mean. My wife and I went to the San Antonio Botanical Garden this spring and they had a huge Brazilian there. I took a few photos with my phone, but they do nothing to show the massive size of the plant. I am 6'2" and I bet it was three times my height. They had a nice collection of banana plants outside also. A great place to go to get ideas.

I have an album in my gallery of some shots I took while at SABG about three years ago. They do have some nice bananas.

Well I'm back in New Jersey now 14 states in 11 days! My new truck went from 180 miles to 7200 haha

My wife thought I was nuts because the first thing I wanted to do in San Diego was visit the Botanical Garden I just wish we brought 2 cameras. She went with my son to Lego Land while I was drooling over the bananas.
