![]() My family stopped in San Diego for a few nights enroute to LA. Today I went to Quail Botanical Gardens and was amazed at the height of the banana plants. They have several varieties planted with a lot fruiting. Sadly a lot of their
Cannas had the virus. Overall it was still a very nice visit. My wife was at Legoland with my son and had the digital camera. I do have a bunch of shots with my digital phone. I'm so jealous of people living in San Diego. Beautiful city. |

![]() I know what you mean. My wife and I went to the San Antonio Botanical Garden this spring and they had a huge Brazilian there. I took a few photos with my phone, but they do nothing to show the massive size of the plant. I am 6'2" and I bet it was three times my height. They had a nice collection of banana plants outside also. A great place to go to get ideas.
