i was out scoping my nanas today and found the weirdest thing. on one of my dwarf oronicos there is a pup....there is no p-stem that i could see, just 2 leaves right on top of the mulch.i wanted to dig down in the mulch to see about the p-stem, but i didnt want to disturb it. has anyone had this happen?

Yep, the p-stem is made of leaf stalks. So as you get more leaves, the more p-stem you will see.

It could also be just a water sucker and not a sword pup, in this case I would pull it out.

That sounds weird mskitty. After seeing the pictures on that water sucker thread I'd worry about that too. Can you post a picture?

Did you get that wind yesterday? My nanas are all shredded. They all look really bad.

I separate water suckers and let it grow in 1 gallon pots. Slow grower but a nice decorative plant to look at.
