question about pups in winter

my dwarf orinoco is in a South window, still putting up a leaf every 1 - 2 wks. Its getting huge. I quit fertilizing as much since its winter, but the room is heated day and night so I guess the plant doesn't even realize its winter.

The thing is, it has 3 pups. The biggest is only 2-3", and the smallest like 1".
Should I let them all grow or neuter that sucker?

Sounds like it is loving where it lives.. Plants have a process they know what to do why mess with it???

how many pups are too many?
before these three, it had one pup which i removed around 8", but it died. What's the best way to care for a recently removed pup?

As long as your banana is not fruiting then i would leave the pups alone. I've had as many as 8 pups on one mother. I would not remove any pups until they are at least a foot tall. Remember that pups draw energy form the mother.

I would leave it. It is best to remove them when the plant is actively growing. Yours sounds like it is doing well, but it probably has slowed down. Also, when you remove the pup, you gotta worry about the newly cut part of the corm, which is more likely to rot over winter.
