![]() In spring I planted out two rajapuri in a poly tunnel. A few days ago we had a cold night with only 2 or 3 degrees celsius, maybe something around 36 to 38 fahrenheit.
Now after seeing the leaves already turning brown along the edges, it might not be the true rajapuri. Beside are a namwah and a california gold. Both in perfect shape and colour. There is an other reason too that Im in doubt. The pseudostem is turning more and more red. Could it be dwarf red or something similar? This is the second rajapuri pup I have that came from the same mother plant. It is a bit smaller and is at a slightly higher position planted. Maybe therefor it has not much cold damage.

![]() So far your RP looks like mine. What's turning reddish/brown are the old dying leaf sheaves.

![]() That is what I was worried about. A cavendish is just not as hardy as namwah or california gold. I dont think the pseudostem will survive down to 1°C. That is the lowest temperature I will expose the pseudostems.
So I have to look for a true rajapuri again.
