Default Recommend growing Mona Lisa – FHIA-02

What a great find! I’ve been waiting on tasting this one for months; 12 months to flower and 4.5 months to harvest. Solid plant, flowered at 7’ red p-stem, 40# + bunch / 10 hands (had to prop it up), large / fat fruit, great tasting / sweet & firm at yellow. And the nice thing was it didn’t turn yellow all at the same time. Haven’t cooked with it them yet but will try (I love maduros). Definitely a keeper in my garden. I’m surprised that its not more popular to grow… highly recommend.

I do... First one is the emerging flower (it was huge) and the second as it was producing.

Yes, it does have a pink p-stem. Its a good looking solid plant. I think you'll be pleased. I grow my my bananas for the fruit; I'd rather have a great tasting banana in hand than roll the dice on a unique variety that may or may not perform.
