Re: Red Jamaican surrendered today
Great! I've heard nice things about the fruit, so keep us posted.
Unfortunately, I've also been told that this variety is pretty cold-sensitive and does not store well under the house at all. The corm will survive, but the pseudostem just dessicates and/or rots away. That didn't keep me from growing one though!! |

Re: Red Jamaican surrendered today
Those are stunning pics! Look forward to seeing the progress on the Red. I like your bamboo cane supporting the flower stalk on the Apple - gonna have to copy it.
Be well, Mike |

Re: Red Jamaican surrendered today
I'll have to make a tutorial on how I made those. They get lots of comments from people who see them, even non plant people! They are relatively pricey though at about $20.00 each. My wife wouldn't let me use pvc or 2/4's so I had to make something ascetically pleasing. :06:

Re: Red Jamaican surrendered today
definitely post up the tutorial...hopefully it'll be cheap for me since I can use some of the bamboo already in my garden
