Saba vs Cardaba vs Praying Hands
A real bad storm came through the other day and damaged some of my bananas. After the clean up, here is a side by side leaf view of three middle / comparably aged plants. Saba vs Cardaba vs Praying Hands (The Saba Collection). The Saba leaf is a little over 8.5 ft, not counting petiole.
Next year I will have Kandarian large enough to compare. Last edited by floridagrower : 09-14-2011 at 07:39 PM. |

About the size of a 1960s Hawaiian redwood surfboard that King Kamehameha might have used.

Re: Saba vs Cardaba vs Praying Hands
Yes. Cardaba in middle and Saba is the large one. BTW these were not mature and have gotten bigger. All three have since fruited.

Re: Saba vs Cardaba vs Praying Hands
Hello Florida Grower!
This is an old post, but new to me! I'm also in Florida by the way. My wife is from the Philippines and I want to get the banana plant they use for a desert called "Banana Que" and also one that produces banana leaves like they use to wrap meat and serves dishes. Would you recommend your CARDABA or SABA , one one of each? Thanks, |
