Shipping from USA and out
I was wondering, if sending a banana plant from USA to Norway, how would that work, if just sending it in the mail like a letter or regular pack? Would it be stopped and tossed away, or would it go fine?

Re: Shipping from USA and out
I've tried this with an American company, and it didn't work, not even with a phytosanitary certificate. It will definately be stopped and tossed away. Importing live plants from the US is illegal. Seeds are fine, corms and plants will be destroyed.
A friend of mine is driving down to the Netherlands to pick up some palms and other exotics next march. He needs a phytosanitary certificate for each nursery he is visiting, and he also needs to call the customs office before he arrives at the border. Offcourse, you are allowed to import 5 "houseplants" per person from the EU. Or 10 kilos of corms.
