Default siam ruby color issues

Hi all ,
My Siam Ruby has been indoors for several months now and has pushed out about 1.5 solid green leaves per week since .
I placed one 30w compact fluorescent bulb (6400k full spectum) over it and now it's pushing red leaves again .

6400K sounds right on the money. They turn red when in sunlight, makes sense. Interesting though...

Margie (Bch Grl) was over here the other day around noon time and we unraveled a roller on my Siam Ruby, and you could watch it change color right before your very eyes, like photo paper in developer!

May I ask, how far above your Siam Ruby did you place your light fixture?

Brian, mine looks like that from that cold snap as well.

I miss the days when it was looking like this:

Hey Jarred, The more mature plant that I gave to a friend was not affected nearly as bad, but it lost a lot of it's red color. He keeps it in a semi-shaded area, I'll take pics. of it soon! BTW, that's a nice picture of your Siam, theres always next summer!

The 'SR' definitely does not seem to enjoy cooler weather. I've noticed that mine seems to start looking sad even in the 50's. I've been moving it in and out all winter depending on how cold it is. Mine is looking more green but I'm not concerned as I know the red color will return to the leaves as soon as it starts receiving more sun this spring. I plan to put it in the ground this year as well. It was potted all last growing season.
