Simple question about posting pictures from iPhone
I need to understand why any picture I take with the iPhone always comes out horizontal here after I upload them to my gallery. Regardless if they are vertical initially or I try to rotate them beforehand in Preview etc. Pictures taken with a normal camera have no problem coming out correctly.
Can anyone give me an idea of what I am doing wrong? Many thanks! |

Re: Simple question about posting pictures from iPhone
I believe IPhone still have a software bug where the camera at times, fails to recognize its correct orientation. Pictures taken will show up correct on the Iphone screen it the time, but are stored in-correctly at a different rotation. You might also check for Iphone updates.
Now look at you picture gallery and look at the image info. Some are stored as width X hight and others as hight X width. This is what tell browsers how to read and orientate images. I think you want most of your pictures saved as width X hight (long side vertical) ... You should be able to rotate/edit your picture, but they must be saved. Just rotating the image on your screen does not automatically re-save the picture file. ... Other image editing software will correctly store rotated images if you Iphone app wont.. I hope this helps some, I don't actually use an IPhone. Last edited by edwmax : 10-03-2018 at 07:44 PM. |
