Just a thought...should a disclaimer something like this

this plant that you are buying is most likely mislabeled, seller truly has NO CLUE of variety be placed on banana plants at big box stores, nurseries or in online adds for nana plants? lol

That sure is an idea. But so many people do not care... "Yeah, I bought a banana plant" and later on they are surprised that it is not even one that produces edible fruit because it is a Basjoo...😄

I have at least 12 different looking banana plants and you may have seen me in other post now that it's starting to bloom trying to figure out what kind it is lol

And the JURY is still out on that question:}

No guilt. That is why we are on bananas.org, right? It has sparked our interest in getting to know more about these plants and all the different varieties.
Most of us have paid their fair share on mis-labeled plants.

Id have to agree. Big Box stores are know for thier lack of any type of proper labeling for some if the plants sold. Some of the blame can be laid at the feet if suppliers also. We all know the people working in these stores are usualy just hired from another industry and come into the garden area with basic cash regester skills. That dont make them bad folks ... Just makes it hard to purchase some items that requires lableing. The same standards apply to citrus purchased there. Localy one store sold blood orange trees But in realalty people were purchasing white grape fruit trees.
I always look at it kinda like Lotto .. you absolutely get the thrill of the purchase then ya wait to see what happens..
