![]() You are over-analyzing. Banana leaves are affected by all kinds of things, such as wind, humidity, etc. The leaves age over time, and progressively show their age, turn yellow, then dry up and turn tan/brown. Like people, they show their age. You age over 80 years or so, and they do it over a few weeks, to maybe a couple months. If you watch leaves on tomato plants, squash plants, etc. you see the same changes day to day. In short, chill out.

![]() Can you post a pic of the yellow spotting? If its the bottom leaves then its probably fine and normal but if its a brand new leaf then not normal. Have to see it to tell you.
The leaves drooping during the day and puffing back out is pretty normal.

At the first of the month, I noticed the new leaves on the plant in my small patch were pale yellow. I figured this was because of our current drought. The ground was/is bone dry. .... I started watering the patch twice a week and spraying the plants 3 X's a day with the garden hose. The new leaves are now green and the small plants are not droopy. The 6 big plants (5 to 8 ft) still have a slight droop during the day. ... Today's high was about 85 deg F; tomorrow forecast to be 89 F. For March & April we've had a total 3.5" of rain. We should have had 10". |
