Something eating my Orinocos At first I blamed it on the Chickens. but the ones in the pots were not touched. so the next thing would have to be rascally rabbits so how do I keep them out of my naners.

I have a terrible rabbit problem too in my garden. I have now scattered human hair from Mom's hairdresser around the plants I want to protect. It is working perfectly, except that the hair attracts flies! But the flies don't eat my plants, so I settle.

we have lots of rabbits here. Most people here put chicken wire around the vegetable gardens and around young fruit trees.

I HATE cats running around wild, but one of my neighbors has 15+ that he keeps outside. Do to his cats, I think, I have only had one problem rabbit this year. One ate one of my pumpkin plants. Another solution is to eat the rabbits. They go great with biscuits and gravy.

Fresh manure from domesticated rabbits is great at repelling wild ones (basically it's an artificial claim of territory). It is also great fertilizer for your plants and is lower in nitrogen than most other manures so it doesn't cause the fertilizer burn common elsewhere.

And if you can't get any of that, other solutions include fences and 22 gauges. LOL.

Fortunatly I don't have rabbit issues on the other side of the river, just squirels :-( You just can't win when it somes to rodents in the wild can you?

LMFAO...no, luckily. I do have one renegade squirrel that climbs up here and across the church roof attached to this building. He never bothers anything though. I also once had a hummingbird attracted to my Siam Ruby thinking it could get a meal out of it (but was sadly disappointed). Beyond that, just wasps and spiders...and that I can handle. The wasps seem to LOVE my naners for some reason. They like to crawl on em during the daytime even though they aren't blooming or anything. Not sure why.
