Another recent addition to the Southeastern Manini Grove put out it's first leaf today, always a good sign.

Vanilla Pistachio Swirl Ice Cream Bananas are very rare because they grow incredibly slow and take almost forever to pup.

Re: Southeastern Manini Grove
That's a very descriptive, yet accurate nick name for a manini. It looks like you may have an all white pup on your May 11th plant as well.

Impressive collection of Ae Ae! These are all from the original corm (strain)? Any variation?

Manini Mountain
These plants pup a lot, if you're not a professional hobbyist you could end up having a Mountain of Manini.

Re: Southeastern Manini Grove
Hey Keith, What would you say your average is on your manini pups that you keep? I assume you throw out the all green and all white pups. I was just curious if they produced a lot of unwanted suckers.

Re: Southeastern Manini Grove
There's no short and simple answer to this and different techniques have different percentages. Some techniques will give you thousands of small pups per plant but the percentages have been more greens. I'd say it's best to play around with different techniques and see what you're happiest with.
FYI First generation all green or all white pups from a variegated mother plant can definitely produce variegated pups. Quote:
