Thread hunting - corm sectioning
Sorry to bug you folks. I am looking for a thread I saw here in the past 4-6 weeks, but I can't find it. In the thread, someone posted a photo of a corm that was sectioned into maybe 6 sections for propagation. A researcher I know wants to try that and I was hoping to show him the thread. Anyone else remember that post? If you do, maybe you could enlighten me. Or of you have any photos and a description, please send to me or post it here.

Re: Thread hunting - corm sectioning
damaclese, yes my colleague wants to know how to do it... but, we are talking about corms that may not be budding yet and I'm not sure if it is possible to section those.

Re: Thread hunting - corm sectioning
Any corm should have eyes (places which change into new pups), as long as it is at least 3cm in diameter long. Of course, the larger the corm, the more the outcome, but it stops somewhere at 10 or 14 pups a corm. Good luck and keep us informed about your progress.

Re: Thread hunting - corm sectioning
Ou, glad I helped. If you are astonished about this, you will definitely like what I prepared for spring.
But shhhh. You will see then.
