Waiting for bloom!
If history repeats itself, my original banana plant's grandpups should start to show something anyday now. (I am almost certain these are Orinoco). I started with the original mom. Last year had three pups bloom. There are five this year in the same area, and one that I'd moved. I get so excited when they bloom! So here I wait, but not patiently!

Re: Waiting for bloom!
Really envy you guys down there. Up here in the north, I am praying that none of them will bloom between now and winter. I pray that they will hold off their blooms until spring next year.

Re: Waiting for bloom!
I really hoped they would bloom earlier this year. We had a very cool (and rainy) winter/spring last year. My new planting area is close to the house, and is almost direct north, to try to protect them in the winter.
