Welcome to the first day of fall!
I am sitting here after dinner, celebrating the autumnal equinox, and waNted to wish you all a successful preparation for winter.
For the record, dinner was a nicely barbequed sirloin, baked potato, a side of steamed broccoli, and a bottle (shared, of course, and to my dismay) of a1997 Beaulieu Vineyards George de la Tour Cabernet Sauvignon. Go out there and make up your own holiday! HAPPY FALL!

Re: Welcome to the first day of fall!
I bet dinner was great!
Happy autumn to everyone! My bananas are feeling the shorter days and slowing down their growth a little. Unfortunately, they are anticipating the colder months ahead.

Re: Welcome to the first day of fall!
Very nice pairing - and a '97 no less - impressive! I feel your pain.
I can almost smell it grilling and while I don't eat broccoli with wine, it sure beat my Chinese food. |
