![]() It's fall, bananas still in the ground,3 have thrown the flag and paddle leaf, one is a Raja Puri,I dug up and potted in a 35 gallon plastic trash can, took 3 weeks after the flag leaf, and the flower is emerging finally.
Now have two dwarf Cavendishes one with a paddle leaf and one with flag leaf, that I will dig up this weekend. Question here,I have a newly constructed hog panel greenhouse, that I will keep at a temperature of about 65* through the winter,I'm thinking at this temperature they will continue to grow, but at a very slow pace,or might they just sit there until spring? And if they due, will ruin the taste and texture of the bananas? So has anyone experienced digging them up at of the ground when just starting the flower process and potted up and continued to ripen? Don |

![]() I use the 12 mil bubble solar pool cover first ,then a 6 mil greenhouse cover over that to get a small dead air space, besides the air space in the bubble.
Mitchell,if you click on my photo gallery and then click on the picture it will enlarge for you. |
