Re: Wellspring Garden So Called Ice Cream.
Nice! I got two from them but one sadly disappeared in the middle of the summer. Was growing them in my greenhouse among other things, some beans shaded them out for a week or two, then I lifted the leaves and there was nothing there. No dead plant, no dead leaves. . . I'm assuming slugs ate it. Which really is something that's never happened before.

Re: Wellspring Garden So Called Ice Cream.
Personally I'm just calling mine Namwah. I have yet to see a case that I've found online of someone buying an Ice Cream from a popular nursery and getting true Ice Cream fruit/characteristics off it.
Regardless, Namwah are actually said to be much better quality, so, doesn't bother me if that's really what I have! |

Re: Wellspring Garden So Called Ice Cream.
We (several of us on the Gulf Coast) have the "miracle" Blue Java/Ice Cream Banana. You know the one that at fruiting time miraculously turns into Tall Namwah. Well anyway the consenus is that it probably taste better than the aforementioned "miracle" BJ/IC
