Re: What did you harvest today bananas
Tomorrow my wife will help me harvest them but I think it will be a few more days until they are ripe enough to eat.

Re: What did you harvest today bananas
I cut another hand of Raji Puri--still green but starting to get a little yellow blush. They are the best tasting banana I have ever eaten--not that I have eaten a lot of varieties--yet.
I am glad I learned about cutting one hand at a time--I would hate to have to eat 59 naners in just a few days--even if they are the best. |

Re: What did you harvest today bananas
They are not as astringent as store bought naners when they are firm. They have a mild tart flavor when firm.

Re: What did you harvest today bananas
What is the ideal time frame for harvesting PH.?
I am boiling a couple right now anyway ... comments about it flavor and texture of the fruit are always positive. Last edited by SoBe Musa : 01-21-2010 at 02:46 PM. |

Nicely done Emily, the time scale from fruiting til the fruit was ripe is laso interesting. Thanks for pics and info.
