![]() My Musa tanee arrived from Thailand a few weeks ago. It was just a corn and a large stalk with no roots, I have been cutting back the top moist part every now and then. Today I cut off a few inches at the top and noticed half a larvae. So I pulled back some of the outside dry layers and found several more.
What are they, what do I need to do? I have cut off the top several inches (all the soft area and the outside brown layers) Here is a pic of one: ![]() |

![]() Treat with an insecticide and make a complaint with the seller the plant was infested. It really shouldn't have cleared US customs. Did it have the proper paper work stating the plant to be disease and insect free?

![]() Was it inspected by USDA? Did you have an import permit? If not, it is an illegal plant.

![]() It was two plants (under 12 so no permit was required) and included the phytosanitary certificate. It was USDA inspected. To my understanding that meets the legal requirements.
