what type of fertilizer?
I've got several basjoo's to plant in the ground and was wondering the best type of fertilizer to use this season to have large plants. Brand? Liquid? Pelleted slow release?

Re: what type of fertilizer?
Chicken manure is great, even though it stinks the first few days. Sprinkle some of that around the clumps, or better- get it down near the root-zone., The plants will repay you by looking great. Liquid fertilizer can be applied weekly to make sure trace elements are included. As long as the plant is in growth they need alot of fert. I read somewhere: "When you plant new banana-plants, let them put out 1 or 2 leaves, then pour on water and fertilizer."
