This is a plantain I believe...
Sorry that is really Vague But I really don't know much about this banana plant. other than it grows Very well! It's doing so much better than the other banana's I have. Even the pups I put in containers are doing well! I'd consider it a perfect first time banana! :P

Howie- Is that Ensete glaucum. I guess I'm in the same category. The only blooms we have gotten are basjoo, and they are, basically, green.

I haven't measured but the p-stem has to be at least 8-9'. I'm 6' 1" and it is at least a few feet above me. Standing flat on the ground, I can just touch the tip of the flower at the moment. The tallest leaves reach up about 14'+ at the moment.
