Re: What's blooming in your garden? (bananas)
Yes, looking at Jon's pictures versus the real deal, his "Lakatan" isn't actually Lakatan.
Real Lakatan male buds: [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] Pitangadiego's "Lakatan" male bud: [IMG][/IMG] That means I have another one to remove from my yard, too. Last edited by venturabananas : 09-28-2012 at 12:21 AM. |

Some Cavendish variety. Maybe Williams or similar.

Re: What's blooming in your garden? (bananas)
I observed this all over Panama and Costa Rica during my trips inland last year. Bunch after bunch untouched. The locals told me most of the monkeys won't bother with them. Just the birds.

Re: What's blooming in your garden? (bananas)
Tony,
My wife has a good laugh when I go searching for the reading glasses and they have been hanging from my tshirt or on top of my head all along. Once I had 2 pair hanging. Having finally given up the search asked for help looking. That one was good for an extra laugh. Never had to wear glasses before and I hate the darn things to no end. Dan |
