Great photos, Rob. So the verdict is still out on the musa species, but what is the gecko/lizard? I bet he is going for some sweet nectar up there.

It's a gold dust day gecko. There are usually several on every banana plant. They are a species that has taken over and actively kills off other species of gecko.

I hope they earn their keep and actively remove all insects!

Yeah, but this fell over some in different directions until I finally propped it up well. That's probably why it got stuck. My Hapai has never even gotten that far.

Good old SH 3640

First ever Viente Cohol. Was a sick corm when I took it from a buddys house and it flowered small. Let it go to check the taste. Several follow ups on 2 mats should give fruit this year.

I actually harvested a bunch the other day. Nothing to write home about, it taste like a banana should. The others fruited in Early January and Early February. The January bunch came off too early. Only about 15 lbs of fruit.

looks good FTS; how long did your breadfruit take to grow to fruiting age? I've always been curious about trying my hand at growing some, and I know a family member with a tree.
