My Tall Namwah put out it's third bunch this year! And it's on the pstem that I had to cut off during hurricane Ian so it only has a few leaves.

And the Goldfinger bunch made it through the hurricane, starting to plump up.

Yet another Tall Namwa bunch! This will be the 4th in a year. I have to be honest though I still have yet to try these things! The last bunch I posted about got too much frost damage back over Christmas and the other ones previously just did not ripen. Hoping this one makes it!

My Cardaba is just flowering.

It's a tissue cultured plant. Was supposed to be a Saba, my guess it's a cardaba.

Would like to upload a photo but having problems, even though file size is 1MB.

Some questions re Cardaba:

Do these need staking.

Are they good raw eating, or are they best cooked.

Thanks

I have the most bananas in bloom at the same time ever (5) and it's a little late! We have been getting frost every year lately I have been so disappointed basically every year. This coming year I am going to be pushing them to bloom earlier. And hopefully we get more rain too, this year we were in severe drought during the rainy season. They are not irrigated but I watered every once in a while.

First is the Tall Namwah, it's been hanging for a couple months now.

Then came the Raja Pisang

Then another Tall Namwah

Then the goldfinger, which I'm disappointed in as the bottom bananas appear to already be going bad.

And last came the praying hands. It's so tall up there if we get any chance of frost it's a goner!

What beautiful bananas! I too have more in flower simultaneously than ever before though they are all basically the same variety (2 Dwarf Brazilian and 1 Becky's Mystery) The Dwarf Brazilians are in the same mat. Obviously I am not being diligent about keeping my mats thinned.
