when to put bananas out side
Can anyone tell me if it is to early to put my trees outside I live in south jersey I usually wait till mothers day but I am having surgery on my arm the 29th of April would like to get them in before then thanks for all your help. Paula

I usually wait till may here in michigan, as long as no chance of frost. I have stored praying hands, esente and basjoo dry in the crawl space and brought them out two weeks ago. All the basjoo died the other are doing very well planted inside at this time. I will transplant next moneth outside.

I understand your problem, still, I would hold off until you have 50's for night temps. Good luck with the surgery.

I agree with salty, the temp he said will make a world of difference to getting them started. Maybe get them in some nice pots for now keep them in a sunny area and when you recover plant them at that time. I have lost a few plants planting to early and if they are to wet and so on so your best bet would leave them in. good luck.
