Re: Who can top this?
Um... I know some is ornamental but it seems like ya'll have enough to provide a small country with fruit!! Just out of curiosity, how much fruit do you have in a good year and what do you do with it all??
Lynn your green thumb is bionic! I'm ready to rest up abit too. It's been a really fun and satisfying summer though. Deb |

Re: Who can top this?
This is my first year growing them, so I hope to have lots of fruit next year. As I mentioned though, some of these are just TC starts that are in the process of being hardened right now - about a third of them. So while there are a good number of plants, most of these are first year bananas, and my tallest is only about 7-8' at this point.
Once I get them going strong next spring, I want to TC several of them myself. This winter I will be working on filling in the gaps with some of the ones I don't have yet, but still want. In part, this is an experiment to determine heat and drought tolerance characteristics for each. Hopefully there will be lots of pups next spring too. |

More like Holy crap BananaMan!
Wow, now that's a list. Makes my measly 11 types look like a joke - even if it is only my second year. And I noticed most of you have Ae Ae, where did you all gets yours (other than eBay)? I'm getting determined to add that to my list early on.

Guilty! But I am single and Mom's in heaven, so I answer to no one. It's kinda nice.
