Default Why are the best bunches just before winter?

Monster tall namwa (for my area anyway). Has a pup on each side I need to remove.

Just in time to be frozen.

It's a good 17' and huge at the base. Sz 14 shoe for reference.

You are gonna need some heavy duty equipment to move those 'pups'! Amazing!

Such a shame. At least they are Namwah, I don't like those anyway...

Maybe the cold will wait this year... or stay away all together.

Varieties I supposedly bought: Manzano, Cavendish, Blue Java, Sweetheart, and Gros Michel.
What it seems I actually have: Brazilian, Cavendish, Namwah, Dwarf Red, Gros Michel, Pisang Ceylon, Veinte Cohol and SH 3640, and American Goldfinger. FHIA 1, Paggi and FHIA 17... Always room for one more.

Maybe you can skate by without a heavy frost this year. Fingers crossed. Good luck!

Tytaylor, I've been having the same issue. During the summer, only 2 flowers bloomed when the hope was that they'd all bloom at that time...., and now when there's some threat of frost in the near future, 4 of them decided to open.
