If you live in florida it does not get cold enough to get the ground frozen so I would have to say the corm is fine. So it will lose the leaves but it will come back. Just give it time....

Mike, you should be Ok, again the ground doesn't freeze, so the corm is alright, the leaves are burnt from the cold, just going to look funky for a while, when it warms back up, new leaves will start growing!

I agree. The leaves are mostly what is hurt. Resist the urge to cut the whole pstem down, though. Wait until spring and you'll be able to see how far down the pstem is damaged. You might only have to cut it back by a foot or two. This will greatly increase your likliehood of getting a bloom!

Chin up W.F.! If I had a banana that looked that GOOD in my yard right now it would be a happy day. The big three not the little guy on the right.

Pseudostem looks good! Do nothing till warm weather and then cut off brown leaves only. Wish the weather was warmer here.

Good evening Worm Farmer,

Water it, don't fertilize till after the February full moon. After the 10th of Feb, the chance of a freeze drops to less than 30%, depending upon where you are in FL.

It will come back so don't be too unhappy, that banana looks pretty good considering.

Best wishes

I will be happy when my musas look like that in winter!
ofcourse they will come back, I don't think that the pstem dies, only the leaves are death but that will regrow quickly.
