Default Will pups be normal off of a badly stunted GN (excessive sun damage)

I got my Grand Nain and my Dwarf Cavendish together as tc's when they were the same size. The DC was vigorous, but the GN was always even more vigorous. For example, when the DC was around 9", the GN was around 12".

Then I incinerated the GN. I had just cleared out all the shade items and ground cover, then forgot to open the greenhouse up for the day. Totally cooked the plant. The leaves were mostly crispy, but it limped through.

Now the DC is probably 30" while the GN is still only 15". The GN is also far skinnier and still seems to have a sickly yellowish tint. It still pushes out leaves, but at a much slower rate, and they're not getting successively bigger anymore (at least not to a noticeable degree, unlike all the other banana plants).

I'm wondering whether I need to get a new GN to build up a good GN mat. If this sickly plant produces pups, will they be screwed up as well? Will there be any lingering lameness? Or will they be 100% as good as pups off of a healthy GN?

Anyone know for sure?

If there are going to be any lingering effects in successive generations, then I'd prefer to get a healthy GN to start my GN army with.

If the GN lived, don't worry about it, future pup (and probably the mother itself) will be fine. I planted a goldfinger in full sun, and it burnt to the ground! It went from about 2' in height, to a dead looking corm. Here it is about 4 months later; it grew several pups, and now even the mother is regrowing. Last week was 100 degrees here, and now that it's aclimated, it's fine.

I almost lost a whole tray of TC gran nain a few years ago because I left it out in the sun. I I lost a few, but most came out fine.
