would Dormancy start now or later..?
Since im in newfoundland the leaves are changing color its almost fall. any help thanks you.

The way I do it here is I don't dig up any of the ones that are directly planted in the ground until the day when a good hard frost is forecast for our area. Then I dig, dig, dig that day. If they are just forecasting a light frost or borderline temps, I usually throw an old sheet, etc over the plant. Unless it's something especially valuable to me because I only have one of them, etc.
If the banana is potted, you can always sit it out for the day and pull it into the garage for the night and reduce its exposure to the cooler night temps that way if you want to.
