Yellow
Hey now, my first Apple bunch is ripening on the plant! These will be my first Bananas ready to eat from this garden. Would have been nice if they would have ripened from the top down, but I'm not going to complain! This particular bunch never plumped up as much as the others as you see by the skinny ones near the top.

Re: Yellow
Hey momoese, What is the reason/s why the bananas would not plump up enough? is that just how it is, or maybe more water needed?

Re: Yellow
I'm not really sure. The plants are very healthy and the weather this season has been great. These are the first generation plants in this garden so I suspect the next crop will produce more fruit and possibly higher quality.

Re: Yellow
Yeah, I have a Raja in fruit but it is pretty scrawny looking. Small and not many nanners. But like you said, it is the first pseudostem in this mat to fruit so I'm hoping the subsequest ones will be a lot more robust.
Congrats - I hope to be enjoying a lot of Dwarf Cav in a few weeks. It is so heavy, I had to prop it up to keep it from breaking the trunk off. Must be close to 50 lbs. Terry |

Re: Yellow
Nice bunch! Thanks for the picture Momoese!
I share your excitement, I just had my first plant set fruit last week. But it was earlier than I was expecting. Guess i can't complain either.
