Re: Seeds for Key Lime
Luckily the power was on a different pole - just took out the tv and internet. The limes are looking great - just put them outside today to get full sun which should really make them take off. Be repotting them soon - work and slave! work and slave! lol

Re: Seeds for Key Lime
when i go to get my nails done, my manicurist looks at them and says you in dirt a lot? (hes from vietnam) and i ask him why. hes says you come in here with dirt under nails all de time. i tell him you cant grow fruit with clean hands. when i told him im trying nanas, he say lot of banana trees in vietnam, i said yes i know. come to think of it he never ask me what kind i grow...is there only one kind of nana that grows over there? or is it a banana is a banana? i dont know about the banana latex yet but i know about water stains on the hardwood floors. dont freak out, the floors need to be replaced.(my sunrooms getting done first!!!)

Re: Seeds for Key Lime
because the idiots....ummm people who i bought the house from didnt do preventive maitnance when they owned the house. in my livingroom they had a window air unit, and water ran into the house and onto the floor and rotted a 5 ft. section.in the den there are groves in the floor that cant be sanded. when the roof leaked (thats already been replaced) it rained more in here then it did outside. i would love to be able to save money and get them redone. i spent $9000.00 just getting the house livable. its not a bad house it just needs tender love and care.

Re: Seeds for Key Lime
very good reason, was hoping at worst you might only need to replace few boards not whole floor
hats why I do most of repairs to house, have trouble trusting contractors(unless looking over their shoulder)family had their roof replaced and water was running down chimey like a river next rain they had |

Re: Seeds for Key Lime
usually these are people i know...but that doesnt stop me or my dad( who lives right down the street) from hanging over their shoulders. there is so much you can learn from the "diy and hgtv" but when it comes to major work like wiring and leveling a floor and changing a carport to a sunroom...i am clueless in sparta again. i would rather leave that to people who know how to do it. i can dry wall(put the drywall up,tape, mud, sand, prime) ,put up a wall, paint, lay vinal tile, and heck could probably re-shingle a house( if i liked heights), but my area that i love to work in is the landscaping and growing stuff. in the lr,kit., bath, and hallway i want mederanian tile. my mom knows how to do that, so thats no prob. just have to get the floors leveled first. and the saga continues.

Re: Seeds for Key Lime
They are looking really good - kept the biggest and best one for myself, and passed the others on to friends - they kept going on about how good it would be to be able to make key lime pie!!

Re: Seeds for Key Lime
Cowdencraig, where are you located?
Why are key limes so rare in some areas - esp Europe? Cassie, how are the limes doing? I hear they fruit in 2-3 years which is great!
