![]() I'm looking for my first banana. I'm in the UK and have a 4metre high ceiling so should be able to get something spectacular for indoor growing (lots of light). I would ideally like to grow for fruit those little sweet bananas you get in south-east asia (thin skin, yellow flesh, approx 10cm), I think they are ladys fingers, is this correct?
Does anyone have any or know a place willing to ship to the UK? I'd also take any other recommendations of similar but I would like fruit for my first plant and will look for more ornamentals in time. TIA, Richard. |

![]() eBay and Google have been my friends so far. Just recently purchased a Dwarf Pink that might look spectacular in your room. Edible bananas too but have big seeds apparently

![]() Modern edible bananas don't have seeds, though.

![]() I can't find a dwarf lady finger anywhere. Unless I'm mistaken these are the bananas you see in every market in Asia so why can't I find anywhere selling a plant?? Do you have any pro tips for finding these in Europe or a link to a grower?
