I would say this is an unusual way to grow Banana's, and not the most reccommended way to do it.. :^)




Notice its not growing on the burn side.. Namwah survives fire.. :^)

Any time I've had a "volunteer" plant that decides to grow in a terrible place, it does ten times better than the pampered properly cared for plants.

I burned some virus infected Canna Musifolia I got off the net a couple of months back in a very large fire. I went out and looked at the pile about two weeks ago, and the dang things were sprouting in the ash after being burned. I had to put them on the road in front of my house so cars would run over them

I think that's the only thing short of reburning them that will kill them.. :^)
