TC Gros Michel
For those of you that ordered gros michels, they arrived today. They are 4"-5" tall and they have exceptional root systems. The roots are so well developed that some of them are being pushed out of the tray. I don't think you'll be disappointed!
There are still some available for sale if anyone is interested. They're $7.00 plus postage and my state inspector will be back next week to clear shipment into California, he did an initial inspection last week. Terry |

Re: TC Gros Michel
Tony, just want to say that I like the picture of the passion flower. I've been searching for one that color. I have a small collection of passion vine, but not one as nice as yours.

Good luck with your GM's folks. Too bad there aren't more around if they are as good as I've heard.

Re: TC Gros Michel
I don't think Chance1945 has any left. I've sent a PM weeks ago and never heard a yes or no.

Re: TC Gros Michel
Bob, if you didn't hear from me then I slipped up and for that I apologize. I have you on the list for 2 'gros michel'. Is that right? I sent you a message about half an hour ago letting you know that I'm ready to ship.
Sometimes my computer is so slow that I just give up on trying to send a message and then I forget whether I sent it or not. All of you, cut me some slack, I'm old. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Bob, again I'm sorry. Terry Anybody else if you haven't heard from me then please let me know. Terry |

Re: TC Gros Michel
Send him a pm (i.e. private message) to work out the details. There is a "SendPM" link in the bottom-right of each post, so you can just click on that button in one of his posts if you want.
My two plants are doing well. They're already putting out their 2nd new leaves since arriving. Pretty cool

Re: TC Gros Michel
Here's an updated pic of my Gros Michel:
I used to have two but I annihilated one (along with an unsuspecting Glui Khai and almost my Zan Moreno, which has managed to pull through). Bananas are tough, but they can be killed if you're persistent enough. I've found that if I receive a tc plant in the mail after it has traveled a thousand miles in a box, then do my best to shock it by scrubbing all the dirt off its roots and immediately planting it underwater in a solar furnace without allowing it to acclimate, it'll still flourish in spite of it all. But if I then ratchet things up even further by digging it up and moving it a week or two later, and then doing so again after another week or two, then there's about a 50-50 shot it'll call it quits. The things are so tough that I'd almost gotten to the point of treating them as if they were indestructible, even as young tc plants.
